Just a bit of our week

Trey LOVES trains. First discovered this before Christmas when we took him to Stone Mountain Park and we rode the train. Now anytime we drive through Vinnings (where there is a railroad crossing) he gets so excited. Saturday we actaully got stopped at the tracks for a train. I've never seen someone so excited- when he heard it coming he began screaming "OH OH OH"... then he just screamed. Here is a picture:
Sunday Shelby wore her first dress! So cute! She is finally growing into her clothes so I was thrilled she could wear the dress to Church!
Shelby is smiling alot and loves to watch her brother (although he mostly ignores her at this point)... We think she is also going to be a non stop talker like her brother- check it out!
Trey is now begining to "pose" for the camera... He'll smile when you tell him you are going to take a picture- its pretty funny!
Trey has 2 mallard ducks that he'll walk around with and kiss... he was holding his big duck so I put the little duck in Shelby's arms and tried to get thier picture together- it didn't work. Trey saw Shelby with "his" duck and took it away and said "no Shelby". But here she is with it-
Here is Trey patting the cats- he loves the cats! (He is actaully very sweet and gentle with them)
Chip brought out his guitar and Trey ran yelling "drum, drum" Here is the father- son duo...
Finally I tried getting a picture of Shelby and Trey together... I got about 6 pictures of Shelby and Trey's rear-end as he was rolling off the sofa! LOL! This is the best I could get.

I see dump truck!

Every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday the garbarge truck comes to our complex and picks up the dumpster and Trey just thinks this is the greatest! He'll wake up and take his stool to the window and when he sees that the dumpster has been pulled to the driveway he will say "I see dump truck" over and over... He'll check outside every so often to make sure he hasn't missed it. Once the truck arrives he screams with excitement and out we run to the porch so he can see the truck lift the dumpster and pour the contents into the truck. The driver always waves and honks the horn for Trey- what excitement!
He also really loves playing with legos- even Chip has gotten into it! (here are Chip's creations)

Here is Trey trying to dress just like Daddy:
Shelby is growing by the day- in fact she gained just under 2lbs in a week! She can hold her head steady and is looking around taking in the world around her. Here is a picture.

Hopefully the weather will start to warm up soon and we can go to the park more- maybe today!

behind... behind

Yep- I am far behind on posting! I have a ton of pictures to download and post- but stupid me thought it would be a good idea to show Trey the interactive web site for his favorite cartoon- Max and Ruby. Now I can't even look at the computer when he's awake- if I do- he jumps in the chair and yells with excitement "MAX, MAX!". So that is the main reason I have no pictures to post today. I plan to load them tonight when he goes to bed.
Trey is doing great- he is getting so big and becoming independent and strong willed! Shelby is still a happy quiet baby- which is such a blessing! We have gotten a routine in order and she is sleeping very well at night- yay!
Chip and I are training for the Atlanta ING half marathon coming up in March and then our first full marathon- the Marine Corp marathon in DC in October!!
Anyhow- I'll be back to posting pictures and updates later this week!

20 months... 1 month... Merry Christmas

Trey turned 20 months on the 5th and Shelby will be 1 month tomorrow- time flies.

Thank you so much for all the great Christmas cards that we got this year- I especially love the pictures that were included (I am jealous of the Donnelly's trip to Ireland!)... anyhow I am sorry that this is the 2nd year in a row that I have not done Christmas cards. I even have Christmas cards- just didn't set aside time to "do" them. Next year I will get on the ball.

For Christmas this year we were at Chip's parent's house (the Chamberlin Sr's)- Chip's sister and hubby were also in town from Santa Monica, CA. It was a nice time! Trey was so much fun this year. He enjoyed ripping the gifts open and would even yell "awesome" after opening each toy. I am looking forward to next Christmas when he will be able to anticipate Santa and begin to grasp the true meaning of the season.

Here are a few pictures:
Shelby as Miss Claus:This was the best picture I got with both of them together.... LOL!
