Walking and a visit to the firehouse!

Shelby has been walking around since October by holding onto the furinture or using pushtoys- but this week she decided it was time to go it alone! Here are some outtakes of her walking across the room between Chip and I....
Making it back to Daddy!YAY!!! I DID IT!!!!Best picture of her I could get as she was walking towards me....We are so excited for Shelby and this big milestone!! Yay for Shelbs!

Friday night we had dinner at - where else- CHIC FIL A! Anyhow Trey was in his usual attire; fireman boots, firehat, and firejacket. (seems Trey is becoming well known around town as the little fireman!) ok back to the story- a firefighter was also eating there and came to talk to Trey and invited us to come by the firehouse the next day and he would give us a tour. So Saturday AM we headed over. Chip & I were expecting the usual here are the trucks and thanks for coming... but the men at Station 1 in Glynn County went above and beyond! Not only did they show him all the trucks and tell him what they all did- they showed him the sleeping quarter, the bathroom, the kitchen, and the best part- they let him ride out of the bay in the rescue truck and spray the hose (of course it was not on high)! We were so thrilled and Trey had the time of his life... and Shelby just enjoyed smiling at the firemen!
Here is Trey and his new friend F.F. Dante! This station also sits right on the railroad tracks (Trey's other favorite thing) so we thought the station "patch" was really cool!Spraying the water hose- practice to put out fires!!Ride in the rescue truck with Daddy and FF Dante!Shelby sitting at the front of the ladder truckThanks for the tour!!

New Friends!

We have been having so much fun meeting new friends here in Brunswick! We've been very blessed to meet Lucy and Patrick and thier kids Kate (2yrs) and Jack (4 months)... they are here for the same reason that we are... except they didn't move 5 hours south- they came from ALASKA! Lucy and I have much in common and I've really enjoyed spending time with her - Trey and Shelby have also enjoyed having new friends as well. Here are a few pictures that Lucy posted on her Facebook page
This is the inside of a playhouse that Lucy made out of a refigerator box... we don't have that in common, I am not that creative! Trey and Shelby both had fun in it! Trey pulled all the "furniture" out of the playhouse...
Here they are sharing - yay!
And here they are not sharing....We went to Chic-Fil-A Monday night for dinner (every Monday at the local CFA is family night- kids eat free and then do a craft... needless to say we are there every Monday night!) Trey and Kate decided to hold hands on the way out. Here Trey was showing her how to put the straw back in his drink... Oh and yes, Trey does wear his firefighter boots and hat everywhere... he even naps in the boots most days!
