New Friends!

We have been having so much fun meeting new friends here in Brunswick! We've been very blessed to meet Lucy and Patrick and thier kids Kate (2yrs) and Jack (4 months)... they are here for the same reason that we are... except they didn't move 5 hours south- they came from ALASKA! Lucy and I have much in common and I've really enjoyed spending time with her - Trey and Shelby have also enjoyed having new friends as well. Here are a few pictures that Lucy posted on her Facebook page
This is the inside of a playhouse that Lucy made out of a refigerator box... we don't have that in common, I am not that creative! Trey and Shelby both had fun in it! Trey pulled all the "furniture" out of the playhouse...
Here they are sharing - yay!
And here they are not sharing....We went to Chic-Fil-A Monday night for dinner (every Monday at the local CFA is family night- kids eat free and then do a craft... needless to say we are there every Monday night!) Trey and Kate decided to hold hands on the way out. Here Trey was showing her how to put the straw back in his drink... Oh and yes, Trey does wear his firefighter boots and hat everywhere... he even naps in the boots most days!

Here are some random pictures from the last month. Looks like I didn't get them loaded on here in order...Here is Shelby- since we've been here she has started crawling and now is trying to walk. She pushes this firetruck around just like Trey did!

The Great Blackberry Disaster!

Trey loves blackberries... not my favorite fruit but he just thinks they are "DELICIOUS"! I had given him a few in a bowl for a snack last week and I guess he didn't eat all of them. That evening I was in the kitchen cooking dinner as Trey and Shelby were playing in the living room... dinner was ready and on the table. I went to get Shelby to put her in her chair and discovered that.. well she also loves Blackberries!

rainy week.

It has been raining most of the week- so we've had to find indoor activities. We visited an indoor inflatable jump house place. This one is called Kangazoom. Trey and Shelby had a GREAT time. This will be a place we will visit alot as the weather turns cold. Trey enjoyed the little basketball he found. He would kick it all over the place and take it up the giant slides and toss it down and quickly follow after the ball. They had a section just for kids Shelbys age- they called it "crawlers and wobblers" - how cute! Here is Shelby- having lots of fun!
One day I decided that playing in the rain would be just great! Shelby and I stayed under the umbrella and Trey lived it up by looking for puddles to get wet in. (I think our neighbors thought we were crazy- LOL!)
We had a one day this week (Monday) that was rain free- so we hit the park like we normally do. Here is Shelby checking out the leaves.... soon they will be covering the park.Trey the firefighter is keeping watch...We (ok... Chip- such a great man!) also got a chance to wash the car with the assitance of Trey! (Shelby and I cheered them on!)

football and chicken

Each year on Labor Day Chick-Fil-A gives away free chicken sandwiches- if you wear your favorite team logo. So of course you know we particpated! For lunch I wore... RED SOX! Then dinner (yes- dinner) Chip and I wore BRAVES! Shelby borrowed an jersey from Trey (you know, when he was little and had taste in a team! Go Dawgs!) Here she is all ready for her chicken and fries! Now here is Trey... as I stated above- when he had taste. He is wearing an Eagles Jersey... sorry buddy but Mommy lost a bet to Uncle Kevin and this is the payoff. So Kev- here he is out in public in Eagles gear. (I think the bet was lost over a year ago... I am slow).

We also headed up to watch the Greater Atlanta Christian School's Freshman football game. Our friends the Bunn's son, Ian, plays and this was his first game! (We even saw Jeff Foxworthy- his daughter is a Cheerleader here. We sat close to him but I didn't bother him for a picture since - well... this was his family time) It was exciting and we were glad to be a part of Ian's big day! It brought back alot of memories from high school and Friday night football games!
Here is Trey he enjoyed the game and the Cheerleaders....
Here I am... I didn't see much of the game (wonder why). The guys- Ray, Chip, and Trey.
